| CondorWeek 2007: New Negotiation Features |
|
On Tuesday, May 1st of CondorWeek 2007 , Jason Stowe presented a new set of features that enable efficient resource allocation for use cases commonly found in Enterprise environments. These features enable preemption policies that respect group quota allocations. Prior to the work described in this talk, within the negotiation cycle it was impossible to know the current state of accounting group quotas within Condor PREEMPTION_REQUIREMENTS expressions. Now, using new settings SubmitterGroupQuota SubmitterGroupResourcesInUse, and the corresponding RemoteGroupQuota and RemoteGroupResourcesInUse, PREEMPTION_REQUIREMENTS expressions can get access to accountant information, enabling policies that exactly respect a group's quota. |
